    Mission Statement: Springfield Main Street Program strives to preserve the historic integrity of the downtown district, cultivate a center of commerce and activity and promote Springfield’s unique cultural and architectural heritage.


    Vision Statement: The City of Springfield’s Main Street Program implements the Main Street Program Four-Point approach of Design, Organization, Economic Vitality and Promotions in an effort to create a pedestrian friendly, attractive, safe and desirable downtown for business, housing, leisure, entertainment and the arts—including the culinary arts. This vision includes strategic planning and preservation of the historic integrity of the significant architecture in downtown Springfield.
